宗教在遊戲中代表了「建制宗教」(organized religions)。

population滿足閾值(5)時,宗教將自動建立。每當某一宗教的信徒數量積累到閾值(40/80/160/320),玩家便能給該宗教增加tenets,以獲得特定增益。Holy Sites有宗教歸屬,支配某一宗教Holy Sites最多的empire,會自動成為該宗教的宗教領袖。

Religions are founded at a certain level of population. As the number of followers grows, the player is able to add tenets to the religion granting certain bonuses. The leader of a religion is the empire with the most Holy Sites dedicated to that religion.

每個civilization都有一個國教, 而每個territory都有一個主流宗教。一個territory主流宗教向周邊territory傳播的強度,取決於territory Faith faith產能。

改變宗教[編輯 | 編輯原始碼]

當一個有別於你國教的異教,在你的territories之一佔有20%的宗教影響力時,它便滿足了civilization改變國教的最低門檻。如果玩家打算放棄放棄原先自有的國教而改宗,玩家將從它的tenets獲得增益。但改宗會在數 Turn turns內影響玩家的cities Stability stability。在這些 Turn turns期間,玩家將喪失所有宗教影響力(religious influence),全國人口受外國宗教影響而被轉化。
